Hey, my friend, what's up? And welcome back to another episode of do life big. I have a lot to fill you all in on today, let me tell you. So, we're gonna start out here. I'm gonna give you just a little bit of a life update, things including my 75 hard challenge that I've been committing to, Hurricane Helene, and news about the network marketing company that I had originally started with. And then we're going to dive into talking all about money and how to become a money magnet and attract more abundance to you. So let me just give you just give you just a little recap, because I know I get messages all the time about the 75 hard program I committed to this a while ago. We are currently on day 38 of 75 and basically, what it is you do two workouts a day 45 minutes each workout. I mean, one workout is inside, or whatever you want to do. The other one needs to be something outside. And then you get a drink a gallon of water every day. Read 10 pages of a personal development book. Take a daily progress picture and follow some form of a nutrition plan, whatever one that you want. No cheating, no alcohol. And I'm on, like I said, day 38 and I cannot even tell you how bad I've wanted a drink, because, as you may have heard, you know, Hurricane Helene came through here down in Florida, and it has been absolutely a whirlwind. We live just about eight to 10 minutes from Anna Maria Island, and that whole entire island got completely destroyed. I'm talking like houses floated away.
Basically, the entire island was underwater. And luckily for us, fortunately, we didn't have any water coming to our house, although it was very close. And my husband went outside one night, I think it was like a Thursday night, and the water was all filled up, over the roads over the sidewalk starting to come up our driveway. And we had talked to somebody the following day who's been living here forever, and he's like, I've never seen it like that in my entire life. He said he came on at midnight to check and it looked like a huge pond in his cul-de-sac. He walked out, but water was up to his knees, so it was close. But luckily, it did not come into our house. But unfortunately, the beautiful island was just completely wrecked, and roads caved in once the tide went back out, because this all happened from the storm surge, but once the tide went back out, the entire island was covered in sand, and so, like I said, the roads were collapsing from the water going on top of the roads, but also underneath it, then the weight of the sand, and basically every single house was filled with water filled with sand. There's so much work that needs to be done. And the majority of our friends live on the island, and also own businesses on the island, and some of them lost, like everything.
So we've been having some friends stay with us because they've had flooding in their home. My youngest, Keegan, who's in kindergarten, goes to school on the island, and they've had to relocate all of that elementary school to another elementary school in town for now. So, it has just been crazy. And so I've been staying strong with my 75 hard program, but when I get stressed out, I definitely like to have my Captain Morgan's or a dark and stormy or an Espresso Martini. I have never wanted one more in my entire life than now, but I haven't done it. So, we've just been plugging along, just been trying to do what we can probably get out there and help out and bring some supplies help people clean their homes out. Basically, anything that was wet needs to be taken out of the home. Needs to be thrown out, drywall and all these homes needs to be torn out. I mean, it's a lot of work. I think some of the islands still doesn't have power or water. I'm not really sure, but it's just been a freaking real one.
So, we've been dealing with that just doing the best we can. It's been nice having our friends here, because I think it is a little bit of a distraction for them. You know, we can have some laughs together at night, have dinners together, things like that. Their kids have been having a great time, and they don't want to leave. They're like, can we just stay for another whole week? and I’m stay as long as you want. So, we've been dealing with that now, while this is all going on. Now, mind you, as you're listening to this right now, I've literally just found out yesterday that the network marketing company who I started, which was my very first business, I've talked about this on so many different episodes, how my very first business that I got into was a network marketing company with Beachbody, now called body, and I became a coach and built that into a business a long time ago, almost 11 years ago now, as a way to be able to earn income to stay at home with my babies, because I never wanted to put them into daycare. I didn't want to go back to go back to my teaching career. I just wanted to be home with them. I never wanted to miss the moments, and that's why I started it, and it's been nothing short of a blessing for our family. It has been an awesome run. It's done above and beyond that. I mean, most importantly, it's kept me home with my kids. I've never had to go back to work because of it, but I wouldn't be here, living in Florida. If it weren't for that business, I wouldn't be the person I am today, teaching personal self-growth and mindset and coaching, and the program I created, and the podcast that I'm doing now, and the children's book I wrote, I wouldn't have done any of that if I hadn't started with that business, because it was that business that started my path of personal self-growth, and that's when I became obsessed with growing into the best version of myself, living my absolute best life. The sky is the limit. It's endless possibilities, endless opportunities. That's what being in that business opened my eyes to, and we just found out yesterday that they're getting rid of the whole network marketing component piece, the coaches, building teams earning residual income. They're getting rid of the whole MLM business model, and they're moving to an affiliate business model, which is what a lot of network marketing companies are now.
And so, I kind of had a feeling it was all a matter of time before this happened, but at the same point in time, because I built a very large team, you know, we were still earning residual income every single week, even though I have not been building that business now for the last, like three years. And so, they will be getting rid of that model, which means that anybody who's earning any kind of residual income from a team and coaches and all that is going to go completely away as of November 1. And, you know, it's, it's crazy because, you know, I see a combination of mixed emotions, obviously, like, it's obviously bittersweet for me. I'm really, really glad. Like, when I look back, I just have nothing but gratitude. Literally, I have all great things to say. It was an awesome ride while it lasted. I've met incredible people because of it. I had the ability to play just a really small role in impacting other people in their health and wellness journey along the way, and I've loved that. That was what really kept me up late, working at night till midnight, back in the day, was knowing that I was making a difference in some small way. I was helping give hope to other people. And so between that and just the life that we're living now, and the ability for that to give me time home with all three of my kids, never having to miss a moment, I mean, I have nothing bad to say about that, and it's interesting to see some people just go down this path of, you know, fear and anger and resentment, and they're bitter and they're like, this is total BS, and that company this, and that company that, and they're just all negative energy around it. And at the end of the day, you know, when doors close, you can either look back on those doors that are closed through one of two lenses, right? You can look through the lens of anger and fear and hate and scarcity, and, you know, resentment and have all of that negative emotion, which is only going to cloud your vision for the future, right? Or you can choose to look through the other lens, which is the lens of hope and gratitude and just be so thankful for having it, for having it be a part of your life, for coming into your life, for actually being a part of something, and focus on the good that it brought. And when you can choose to look through that lens, which is the lens that I try to choose to look through all the time as much as I can, but when you try to look through that lens as often as possible, then your vision can be clearer, and it's easier for you to step into the future and to step into more doors that are going to open for you, because at the end of the day, if your vision is clouded and you're filled with hatred and anger and resentment, doors aren't going to appear open for you.
And you're going to feel stuck, versus if you look through the lens of hope and gratitude and appreciation, more doors are going to be open for you, because then you will finally be able to walk through those doors. You're finally be ready to walk through those doors. And so it was a sad day for a lot of people yesterday, because I know that there are a lot of my friends and people who I know who have poured their heart and soul into that business right up till the very last moment. They didn't diversify with their income. They put, you know, all their heart and soul into this one business, and that's going to, you know, affect them, but they'll figure it out. Everything is figureoutable. There's so many opportunities. This is why I always try to say and try to live by how important it is to have multiple streams of income. Never put all of your eggs in one basket at the end of the day with network marketing, it was an awesome business to be a part of, but there's also still a CEO running that network marketing company that essentially, at the end of the day has all the control over what happens or what doesn't happen, right? So anyways, I'll be forever grateful for it. I am really glad that three years ago, I listened to my gut instinct, which was that I was ready to grow out of that and move into becoming a mindset coach for online entrepreneurs, and go on to create my Do Life Big podcast and create my Mindset Accelerator Program. So, there's that. And then the last thing that I wanted to update you on is that tomorrow, the doors to my Mindset Accelerator Program are going to be closed. So this is my signature program. I only open the doors for enrollment about three or four times a year, so I'm not really sure when I'm going to open the doors next. But this program is for you. If you're an online entrepreneur who is plateaued in your income and you're not seeing consistent income growth, and you want to be able to get the ball rolling, you want to be able to get that consistent income growth and build the six figures and beyond. It's also for you. If you're someone who's like, I don't really know what to do next. Maybe you are part of Beachbody or body, and you're like, I don't know what to do next. I don't want to make any impulsive moves. This is for you. If you're wondering, what should I do? Should I start a business next? Because when I do start a business, I want to make sure that I have no limiting beliefs that are going to hold me back and prevent me from having the success that I want in my business, and this is also for you, if you're someone who's brand new to business and you just want to fast track your success to six figures without having to hustle and work 24/7 take more time away from your family. It's not about working harder and longer to get the results that you want. It's all about learning how to rewire your mind for success. So that way we can create new neural pathways so that way you can start to get the success that you want in your business and be that confident entrepreneur who's filled with joy and excitement for their business, and one that also allows you to think of your business as something that's fun and light and simple, because business should never feel heavy. And so if that's you, I would highly encourage you to get on in here. You can go to the mindset accelerator.com, you can get yourself registered. This is the missing link for people. I've been there, done that, and I've helped hundreds of other people do the exact same thing and rewire their mind for success. So get on in there. Don't miss out.
All right, we're finally moving on to today's episode, which is going to be all about money. So, money's a funny thing, right? I don't know about you, but when I was growing up, we were always taught like, don't talk about money, don't talk about money, don't talk about politics, don't talk about religion, right? These are just things that you shouldn't talk about. So it was this whole concept around money, where it's like, it needs to be secretive, it needs to be private. But now, as I've gotten older, you know, run multiple businesses, and all of our friends literally own businesses. It's funny how opposite that is, because you've got to talk about money and you've got to talk how to grow it, and that's what I teach as part of my Mindset Accelerator Program, how to work through those mindset blocks to actually build the income that you want. And so it's something that needs to be talked about. But when we look at money, money is really just energy, that's all it is. And we're either looking at it with like a scarcity mindset or an abundance mindset. And if you're looking through the lens of scarcity in terms of money, then you're going to be filled with worry, and you're going to be filled with being anxious. And someone who has a scarcity mindset around money, or scarcity beliefs around money is someone who would say something like, you know, I can be a great parent or I can be a great business owner. They use that word “or” all the time like they can only be one or the other. I can buy my dream house or I can go on my dream vacation, right? So it's either one or the other. It's rooted in scarcity mindset versus abundance, uses the word and so they would say things like, I can be a great parent and I can be a great business owner. I can go on my dream vacation and I can build my dream home. So, they believe in abundance, right? And so money is just this energy, but if you're constantly worried about it, all of that negative energy around it is actually going to constrict it from flowing to you. And you'll never get beyond scarcity. You've got to actually start beyond scarcity. I'm going to explain a little bit more about what that means here in a second. But most people who are in scarcity, you know, they rationalize that where they are is okay. And I know I did this too with myself for a while, when I was at a multiple six figure income plateau, I constantly rationalized that where I was okay. I constantly rationalized that that plateau was okay and to just be grateful, and then I don't need more.
And so people who are in scarcity will rationalize that where they are is okay, that they don't need more, and they'll say things like, you know, I'm content, I'm good, I don't need any more. But that's not abundance. That's just scarcity pretending to be gratitude. It's a way to talk yourself out of going after what you really want. And I was victim of this too, for a while. So the beliefs that you have about money aren't even yours. Have you ever really stopped and thought about that for a second, but your beliefs that you have about money most likely have been passed down from when you were little by other people, and we never actually take a second to step back and question these beliefs. We automatically believe them, and then we take them on as our own beliefs. But we come into this world as a blank slate. We don't have beliefs about money, right? And these beliefs are handed down, and they often come from people who love us, who've kept us safe, and so we just go through our entire life never questioning these beliefs at all. So ask yourself right now, with the beliefs that you have about money, is this belief about money even real? Do I actually believe it? Stop and really ask yourself that question. Your entire life of money is controlled by beliefs that aren't even yours, you know, so think, what do you believe about money? Do you believe that money is the root of all evil? Do you believe money is something you can't make a lot of you know? Do you say money is something that you have to work hard to earn? Money is always tight, you know, there's never enough people with money are greedy and evil. Money doesn't grow on trees, right? Which one of those Can you relate to? Or which one do you say? So what exactly are your limiting beliefs that you have about money, and where did you learn this? Those are the two questions that I want you to ask yourself and come up with answers to. What are your limiting beliefs about money, and where did you learn them? And I can guarantee it's probably not from yourself. It probably came from witnessing it, from someone else who you love, trust, and who kept you safe, and then you just took them on and made them Be your own beliefs. But when you finally realize that you're going through life with a bunch of beliefs about money that aren't even yours, it starts to weaken that link to them. And then this is where you have more power and control to form new, abundant beliefs, your actual own beliefs about money, and then this will move you forward toward the life you actually want. And then I also want you to stop and ask yourself, based on these goals and dreams that I have, what would I need to believe in order to make that possible? And you will notice that your answer is beyond scarcity. You can't live in abundance with a scarcity mindset around money. It's impossible. Your relationship with money is very similar to that of a friend. When I learned this from my mentor a while ago, I had never thought about this before, that your relationship with money is exactly like a relationship that you have with a friend, and to look at money as if it were your actual friend. So if that were the case, how would you describe your relationship with your friends? What's it like? Think about your relationship with the people who come around and want to be around you the most, the people who you spend the most amount of time with, what's that like?
And now think about how your relationship would be if you were around someone who didn't really like you and was rude to you or who judged you, what would you think about that relationship with that person? Money has a relationship with you, just like you have a relationship with money, and we all have a relationship with money based on the beliefs that we have taken on as our own since we were very little. And so what's yours like? And if you were to describe money as a person, like, what would you say if money were a person? Are you, you know, super clingy with it, and saying, like, Oh my God. Like, please don't leave me. I just want you to stay with me forever, like you need to be with me. Don't go. Are you clingy with money like that, like you've got to stay like you're capturing it. You're never letting it go. Would money want to hang out with you if that's really how you acted and treated it? Would money want to be around that kind of a relationship where they felt so suffocated and clinged onto you know, if your relationship with money is something of stress and anxiety, and you're constantly thinking, you know, like, oh my god, they're gone, when are they going to come back? When are they going to call? When are they going to text? And you're constantly in this over analysis of the behavior, how are you going to show up? And does that make them want to come around? And the answer is no.
So if money were a person, how would you describe this relationship with it? Or are you grateful for it? When it's there, when money's there, you're so thankful and happy it's there, and then when it wants to leave and go somewhere else, you're grateful that they get to go and spend time with someone else. Do you go through that mindset? Because abundance is more and there's no jealousy at all. With abundance, a true friend wants you to be happy and successful, and so ask yourself, what is your relationship like with money? And I'm going to give you just a little activity to do that my mentor had told me to do a long time ago, where I want you to actually take out a piece of paper, obviously not now if you're driving, but take out a piece of paper and a pen, and I want you to write a letter to money as if it were a person expressing your feelings and the things on your heart to money. So whatever it is, there's nothing wrong. There's no wrong answers. It's really what's on your heart, what you want to say about it. Do you say things like, I wish you were here more. Why don't you call? Why don't you text whatever it is? Why are you stressing me out, etc., whatever? And just be really detailed, because this is you, and this is all about your relationship with money right now and your beliefs about it. Anything that comes up is great, and then what you're going to do is you're going to actually pretend that you're receiving this letter, and you're going to read it through the lens of money. Who's supposed to be your very best friend, right? So you're going to pretend that money is your very best friend and then respond to that letter, pretending your money, what would you say? What would you say back? And I can't really say too much about this now, because it'll kind of giveaway what's going to happen for you and what you're going to realize. But when you do this, you'll be really surprised, because money was never out to get you. Money just wanted to be loved and taken care of and appreciated, and you'll be able to identify some of your greatest limiting beliefs about money, so that you can start to move beyond scarcity and become a more abundant person and attract more abundance to you. The best thing that you can do is to completely be neutral to money. Don't make it mean anything. It is what it is. It's energy. And the longer that you hold on to these old beliefs that have been handed down for you, the harder it's going to be from money to flow to you, you're going to push it away and continue to push it away. So something to consider, if you're at a point in your life right now where you feel like you're struggling with money, right let's change those beliefs that we have about money so that we can become abundant and you can become a money magnet, and the money will start to just flow freely and easily, and you won't have those negative beliefs around it anymore.
So I hope that today's episode helped you. Make sure to share this with a friend. Thanks so much for being here. You know I love you and I will see you the next time. Bye.
