Hey, my friend what is up and welcome back to another episode of Do Life Big. Today's episode is all about the importance of having a crystal clear vision and goals for your business and in life. You know, I was thinking about this topic a lot. Because as I talked to a lot of my clients, and even over the past 10 years of being an online entrepreneur myself, I've talked to so many people who just feel lost in their business, they have this feeling that they're lost or insignificant, or they feel like they're going through the motions or that they're on a hamster on a wheel. And, you know, they're showing up and they're doing the work. But yet something feels like it's missing. And they just can't put a finger on it, you know, they're showing up and they're doing the things. And they want so badly, to feel that joy and that fulfillment and that excitement.
But instead, they just feel like they're going through the routines, the mundane boring things, just checking another box off the list of their things to do. And they want that purpose. And they want that meaning in the work that they're doing, but they just can't seem to find it. And what I've learned, and what I've seen over the last 10 years, is that most times when this is the case, if this happens to be you, it's just because you're lacking a crystal clear vision for your business in your life. You know, a lot of these clients that I've worked with, they might have like a vague idea of what they want their business in their life to look like. But it's not crystal clear. It's too broad. It's too vague. And they're very wishy-washy about what they want in their business to look like down the road, where they're going with it and what their life should look like five to 10 years, even down the road.
So for this to work, you have to be able to see, feel, hear, and literally taste what that business and life is going to look like for you. You know, having this clear vision is what gives you purpose, and meaning you will feel so much more purpose and feel like what you're doing is truly making a difference, you will get that joy and that fulfillment once you get crystal clear on your vision and have these goals, once you have inspiring goals that you are going to want to work toward. And also knowing why you're doing what you're doing. Why are you showing up every single day doing the work that you do, what kind of an impact is this having on the world, right?
So you need all three of those ingredients, having a crystal clear vision, having inspiring goals and knowing why you're doing what you're doing. You need all three of those otherwise, you will just continue to feel lost. And as if you're going through the motions and just checking off the boxes on your to-do list every single day. And who wants that sucks, right? You want to show up to you know your business with excitement, and joy. And you want to feel fulfilled and you want to love what you're doing. You know, it'd be like if somebody just all of a sudden plopped you down the middle of a freaking forest and tells you to find your way out, you'd have no idea where to walk because you don't even know where you are. So you don't even know how to get out. You don't know where you're going. This is the exact same thing that happens to entrepreneurs who lack that crystal-clear vision.
And so, if this is you, you don't have to stress out about any of this. This is all fixable. This is all something that you can figure out. But you've got to sit down no distractions. And you've really got to understand that this is your business. And the only way that you will feel purpose or meaning is if you craft a vision and you have goals that are true to you. And only you sometimes this is where I see people make mistakes.
They base their vision and their goals based off of what somebody else wants from them or of them, they base it off of what their spouse wants to happen, or they base it off of something that a friend says to them. This is not about that. And it's not about what looks good written down on paper, when you read it off to somebody, right? What do you want out of your business and life, the only way it's going to work, the only way you will ever reach that vision, the only way that you will be able to have inspiring goals that you want to show up for work toward every single day, is if you stay true to yourself, and do what brings you joy. And really go with what you want out of your business in life.
Having this vision and having goals is what helps you move closer to what you want in life, and your future will look so much brighter, the sooner that you get this crystal clear vision. The only difference really, between you and the person crushing it in their business and life is that the other person's vision is clear. That's all. It's a super simple fix.
If someone is building their business faster, or it appears to look easy for them, Have you ever seen someone like and you're looking at them like oh my god, they're just like crushing goal after goal. They're constantly growing their business, they're doing all these amazing things. They're making such a difference, their income is growing, all these things are happening, it just looks so easy for them. And it just seems to be happening so quickly. Well, it's because their vision is clear. That's all.
Now listen, this isn't supposed to be overwhelming for you. And you can absolutely just start small if you need to start small and think about what are the next few things that you could work towards. What's that next small vision that you could have that would be in the next 90 days, even, that you could work toward, then you can build up from there that absolutely 100% works. Or I was also listening to this book by Arnold Schwarzenegger. And he was talking about vision two in this whole first chapter of his book. And he said that you can also have a very broader, he said that you can also have a broader vision. And once you have that broader vision, then you can zoom in on something, zoom in and get more specific on that one particular thing and work from there. That way works as well, too. And then once you do have that vision, and you have some goals set in place, be constantly asking yourself, okay, well, what's the next best thing that I need to do to get closer to my vision? And with every move that you make in your business, ask yourself, Is this decision going to move me closer or further away from where I want to go? It's that constant reevaluation about that.
So if you feel like you're going through the motions, and you feel like you're lacking that purpose, and you feel like I don't really know why I'm doing what I'm doing, or what I'm doing, but I know that I'm meant for something huge, and I definitely don't want to feel like a hamster on a wheel anymore. I know I have what it takes inside just feel like something's missing. It's just you getting clear on your vision and having those goals.
